My name is Megan Estrada, I am the director and founder of Hub City Outreach Center. My passion is to make a long-lasting impact on the youth that we serve. My dream was to open up a non-profit organization that was geared towards helping at-risk youth to be successful. Well, my dream has come true! Lubbock now has a Youth Outreach Center that focuses on educating, empowering and mentoring at-risk youth.
A little bit about myself- I graduated from South Plains College with my Associate Degree in Child Development. I continued to pursue my education and graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in Family Studies from Lubbock Christian University, in May 2016. Most recently, I graduated from Lubbock Christian University in December 2022 with my Masters of Science in Human Services with a specialization in Non-profit Leadership. I also have my certification as a Community Health Worker and am a certified Associate Prevention Specialist.I was awarded the Hispana Inspiradora Award from the Hispanic Association of Women in 2018! Most recently, I have been selected as one of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce's Top 20 Under 40 Young Professionals! I have been providing Prevention Education for four years in hopes of equipping our youth with the tools they need to be successful.
Todays world has become increasingly complex, technical and multicultural; placing new and challenging demands on young people in terms of education, training, and the social and emotional skills needed in a highly competitive environment. Our hope with Hub City Outreach Center is to Empower Youth Through Prevention. I am so blessed that I have the opportunity to work with people who share the same passion for helping teens achieve their goals and dreams!
